Toll could come with new bridge
Ohio River bridge toll could be $1 for some cars

CINCINNATI (AP) - Passenger vehicles could be charged $1 to cross a major Ohio River bridge if tolls are used to pay for its replacement.
The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that early results of a study being conducted on the Brent Spence Bridge replacement show toll rates won't surpass $2 one-way for passenger vehicles. But there are no guarantees tolls will be as low as $1 or $2.
An Ohio Department of Transportation spokesman says it's still too soon to say what the toll costs will be. The study is expected to be completed by the end of March.
The heavily used bridge carries interstate traffic between Kentucky and Ohio over the Ohio River. The Brent Spence handles more than twice the amount of traffic as was intended when it opened in 1963.
