The Montgomery County Prosecutor's Office approved charges Wednesday morning, against Bradshaw Taylor. The Perry County man is now facing five counts of felonious assault and 2 weapons charges for his role in a double shooting in Riverside Tuesday night.
Police say Bradshaw drove up to a house on Lawver Road, and unloaded nine bullets into the house. Two women sitting on the front porch of the home were hit.
Linda Geisel was shot in the foot.
"We all ducked down, but two of us got hit. But I was trying to take the baby, and put him down this way, and cover him up, so he wouldn't get hit," Geisel said as she pointed down to the ground.
Geisel's 3 year old great grandson was sitting on her lap when the bullets started to fly. Thankfully, the baby wasn't hit.
Geisel said, "He's traumatized, but he's going to fine. The grandson is in worse shape. He's emotionally distraught."
According to police, Geisel's grandson, Mike was the intended target of Tuesday night's gunfire.
Police say Mike Geisel was involved in a fight Saturday night in Miamisburg, and Taylor came to Geisel's grandmother's house Tuesday night to settle the score.
Nine bullets sliced through the house and porch, injuring Geisel and her neighbor, 58 year old Judy Evans. It was Evans' birthday.
Detectives traced Taylor to his home in Perry County--some two hours away.
Riverside Police Chief Mark Reiss said Perry County detectives "went to the house, and found his car there. They staked out the car, and waited for him to leave. The authorities from Perry County took him into custody at that time."
Geisel says the bullet went in the left side of her foot and shattered a number of bones. She was headed back to the doctor this morning for treatment.
But she says news of Taylor's arrest will help her get some rest tonight.
"I was afraid he'd come back after dark, but police say they will be patrolling more now," said Geisel. "I'm just counting our blessings."
Detectives said they will bring Taylor's car back to Riverside, so they can search it for evidence.
Taylor will also be brought back to Montgomery county to face charges.
