CINCINNATI, Ohio (WDTN) - An Ohio man put his computer training to work in an unusual way. He turned himself into a self-proclaimed "nerd rapper."
David, a computer programmer from Cincinnati, has become one of the hottest hip hop rappers in the country.
His lyrics aren't about gangs or girls, they're mostly about computers.
David goes by the stage name Int-Eighty, a computer term. He raps to music tracks produced by his friend "C-64", a graphic designer in Manchester, England.
Collaborating long distance, their band is called Dual Core.
David said, "We were at a hotel room party and these guys were like hey we heard you could free-style. So, I was rapping about hacking and doing computer stuff and stuff I do everyday and everybody really liked it a lot."
His young, affluent fans like it so much they've downloaded thousands of Dual Core songs word-wide.
David said, "Thanks to the power of the internet, we actually have album sales on every continent in the world, minus Antarctica, but were working on that."
So far, Dual Core has four albums under their belt.
They say as long as they're having fun, they'll keep on recording.
Athletes, movie stars, singers and more predict the outcome of the big game.
