COLUMBUS, Ohio (WDTN) - Absentee ballot requests have topped one million in Ohio, according to Secretary of State Jon Husted on Tuesday.
Ohio's county boards of elections have received more than 1.1 million requests to vote by mail, including more than 13,000 requests for military and overseas ballots.
In addition, more than 59,000 Ohio voters have already cast their ballots early at their local board of elections or designated absentee voting centers.
Tuesday, October 9, marks the last day to register to vote or update voter registrations prior for the November 6, 2012 general election. All boards of elections and the Secretary of State's office are open until 9:00 p.m. to assist Ohio voters.
