A new piece of space history will soon be open to you at The National Museum of the U.S. Air Force.
Thursday, officials gave us an inside look at Nasa's space crew compartment trainer.
The trainer prepared more than 300 astronauts for space travel.
It also had the capability to mimic a rocket on a launch pad.
Plans are in the works to add on to the trainer to make it look like a full sized space shuttle.
That display will be interactive and visitors will be able to climb on board.
The trainer will be moved out of The Cold War exhibit and into it's new home in 2013.
