PLEASANT HILL, Ohio (WDTN) - The Miami County Animal Shelter is investigating the shooting and skinning of a dog.

The dead dog was found along Range Line Road just south of Pleasant Hill.

Shelter employees say it was not an amateur job.

They can't tell the breed of the dog, but do know that it was a neutered male dog.

"This is probably one worst things that could ever be done to an animal. I'm speechless. It's not something I've seen a lot of and hopefully don't see anymore of," said Marcia Doncaster, Director of Miami County Animal Shelter.

Call the shelter at 332-6919 if you have any information about the dog's death.
