SPRINGFIELD (WDTN) - The search is on for two Springfield brothers wanted in connection with a December homicide.
Scotty and Alandre Gilbreath are both being sought on homicide charges.
"Apparently they got into an argument with some of their friends and next thing you know they are shooting it out," said Deputy U.S. Marshal Mike Manderano. "Unfortunately, there was one person that got killed."
On December 5th, 22 year-old Timothy Myers was shot and killed in the 2-hundred block of Oakwood Place in Springfield. Another man, 23 year-old Jeffrey Strodes was also shot, but survived.
The Gilbreath brothers were later named suspects in the homicide, but have been hiding from authorities ever since.
"We hit a bunch of addresses from friends and family," said Manderano. "We have reason to believe that Scotty is still hiding out in Springfield somewhere, whether it's a hotel or someone's house, we just want to get them in custody as safely as possible".
Thursday morning, Marshal's searched several homes, but didn't find either of the suspects.
If you have any information on the whereabouts of either Scotty or Alandre Gilbreath, call U-S Marshals at 225-2917.
