DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - The calls have been pouring into to Price Stores Monday because of rain that poured onto thousands of dollars worth of clothing in their showroom, closing their store at Fourth and Jefferson downtown Dayton.
"I think it's a collapsed drain on the roof which caused the water on the roof to build up like a swimming pool and eventually it goes over the side comes down around the edges and floods out the store." said store owner Edd Wimsatt.
The mens tuxedo department on the second floor suffered extensive damage while plastic wrapping protected office equipment on the second floor.
Store co-owner Nancy Wimsatt said thanks to plastic wrapping on her bridal gowns that this weekends memories were saved. " Yes it's going to be OK thats the first thing we went after it's Ok , wedding gowns are ok bridesmaids are Ok , flower girls are OK."
In the meantime the Wimsatt's say other than returns they'll be closed for clean-up this week but will re-open in time for this weekends celebrations.
Millions turned their attention skyward to view a rare "ring of fire' eclipse.
