LEBANON, Ohio (WDTN) - The Warren County Drug Task Force is partnering with the Ohio State Highway Patrol in drug enforcement.

Warren County Sheriff Larry Sims and Ohio State Highway Patrol Superintendent Colonel John Born recently signed a joint agreement assigning them to the drug task force for the purposes of highway interdiction.

A sergeant and two troopers, both with narcotic canines, will be working with Warren County Sheriff's Deputy Brian Lewis and his two canines.

Officials point out that a significant portion of the illegal drugs are transported by motor vehicle on interstate and state highways.
