WARREN COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) - Eight students and three adults were injured in a school bus crash in Warren County Wednesday morning.
The accident happened on Manchester Road just before 8 a.m.
Investigators with the Ohio State Highway Patrol said 16-year-old Zachary Cornett, who was driving a pick up truck, lost control after hitting an icy spot on a bridge. Cornett's truck side-swiped another pick up, then hit the bus head-on after traveling left of center.
The bus was carrying 45 Middletown Christian students, eight of which were taken to Atrium Medical Center with minor injuries. The driver of the school bus was also injured, but is expected to be okay.
Cornett, and his father, Mark Cornett, 51, were also taken to the hospital with "moderate injuries."
Troopers called a truck to salt the bridge after cleaning up the crash.
The uninjured students were transferred to another bus and taken to school.
The following people have recently been booked into Jail. They may not have been convicted of the crimes they are charged with and are innocent until proven guilty.
