Energy company fined after explosion

LEBANON, Ohio (WDTN) - An apartment explosion in Lebanon will cost Duke Energy $500,000 in fines.

The November 2010 blast hurt seven people and caused $1-million dollars of damage to Steeple Chase Townhomes.

State officials say Duke's contractor failed to properly re-establish natural gas service to an apartment, then failed to investigate when the smell of gas was reported.
