DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - State and Local officials gathered Monday, September 13, 2010 to continue the momentum at Tech Town, the local high-tech business incubator.

The buildings new design, incorporating highly advanced technology and a variety of ecologically friendly green elements has the ability to be tailor-made to fit the needs of it's future tenants, linking Tech Town with Wright-Patt and Dayton's growing aerospace industries.

At 62,000 square feet, Shook construction project manager Chris Josselyn said it is the largest of the three buildings on campus, completely changing the look of Tech Town in downtown Dayton.

"As you're coming down the new Monument, now since it's both ways, once they take down the Delco plant over here you'll be able to see this building from here but also from Fifth Third Field, Josselyn said. "That was something important for them. So as you're enjoying the Dragons game you'll be able to see the new development around here."

Paid for by federal, state and local funds, the new flagship building is scheduled to open in the Summer of 2011 at a cost of $7 million.
