ENON, Ohio (WDTN) - A Clark county teacher is accused of raping a student. Sheriff's officials said Michael Alan Markeson sexually assaulted the teenager, inside Markeson's home.
Markeson is now charged with rape, sexual battery and gross sexual imposition. Authorities said he was the drama club director at the victim's high school, in the Greenon local school district. He was also a 5th grade teacher at Indian Valley.
Authorities said, Markeson approached the approached the victim
at a bicycle shop in Enon. The two of them knew each other.
"The teacher asked this juvenile to come to his house, and
offered him a job pulling weeds, and working around house. He
invited him inisde his residence, and wanted to give this juvenile
a hug. At that time, he got down on his knee, pulled the pants of
the juvenile down and sexually assaulted this juvenile," said Clark
County Sheriff Gene Kelly.
Court documents stated the juvenile repeatedly told Mr. Mike to stop, and tried to push him away. The juvenile later later told his parents, who immediately notified authorities.
Markeson lived in his Springfield home, with his wife and
children. He will appear in Clark County Municipal Court for
arraignment on Wednesday morning.
