SIDNEY, Ohio (WDTN) - A Sidney man formerly charged with his brother's murder is now suing several Shelby County officials.

William Trapp, Junior was arrested in 2011 for killing his brother, Gregg, for insurance money in May of 1998.

He remained behind bars until his case was dismissed nearly a year later because of Trapp's health conditions.

Our partners at the Sidney Daily News are reporting Trapp has filed a lawsuit in district court, claiming he was falsely imprisoned.

A second man, Vance Short, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for his role in the murder.
