Icy roads cause crash in Shelby Co.

SIDNEY, Ohio (WDTN) - A 29-year old driver was taken to Miami Valley Hospital after a crash in Shelby County early New Year's Day.
Investigators say Ryan Evans lost control on the icy roads and hit a tree on Miami River Road between East Lockington and Kirkwood roads.
Evans' passenger Brittany Elliot, 21, walked to a near-by house for help.
Evans was first taken to Wilson Memorial Hospital and then transported to Miami Valley Hospital by ambulance, as Careflight could not fly due to weather conditions. Evans was listed in serious conditions leaving Wilson. Elliot was taken to Wilson Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.
