SIDNEY, Ohio (WDTN) - The family accused of running a puppy mill at their Maplewood home entered written not guilty pleas to 241 charges of cruelty to animals.
Dave and Rhonda Auton and their son Adam were charged following a raid on their pet breeding business, Pedigree Pets, on Nov. 17. Authorities removed 241 dogs from the property as part of their investigation.
The investigation into Pedigree Pets began when a woman in Michigan filed a complaint after buying a puppy from the Shelby County business.
