SIDNEY, Ohio (WDTN) - The man accused in a eight-hour police standoff in Sidney was inn court Tuesday morning.
Carl Bruce Norton Jr., 21, was arraigned via video in Shelby County.
Norton is accused of robbing the Chase Bank on Michigan Street in Sidney with a gun around 3:00 Monday afternoon. He then ran to a nearby Travelodge Inn.
Norton gave up peacefully after the SWAT team deployed a distraction device into the room.
Norton's bond was set at $40,000.
