PREBLE COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) - Storms left many people without power and quite a mess to clean up Wednesday morning.
2 NEWS found what is believed to be storm damage overnight in Huber Heights.
After Tuesday's ran, a tree came toppling down across the road.
Fishburg Road at Aaron Lane was blocked for several hours overnight, but it was reopened by morning.
The tree also brought some power lines down with it-- Dayton Power and Light had to come help with the clean up.
In Wayne and Preble counties homeowners are dealing with the dramatic effects of lightning and high winds.
In the 1500 block of Nolandsfork Road just west of Richmond, a large tree struck by lightning split a home in two.
People were inside at the time, but fortunately no one was hurt.
The heavy rain was also a hazard for drivers.
On US 35 between Eaton and New Paris in Preble County, the driver of one car went left of center striking an oncoming truck.
The driver of the car was treated for minor injuries.
