They spotted Willie Asher, 39, of Eaton, Ohio driving a black Ford pick-up truck in the 7400 block of Eaton Oxford Road around noon, according to Chief Deputy Mike Spitler. After a short vehicle pursuit, Asher took off running before he was finally caught, Spitler said.

Asher was wanted on two outstanding warrants charging him with menacing by stalking and violating a protection order, and kidnapping, abduction, aggravated menacing, rape, domestic violence, menacing by stalking and violating a protection order. Spitler said the charges stem from an Eaton Police investigation.

When he was arrested, Asher had what Spitler said was several prescription pills, believed to be Hydrocodone.

After the arrest, in addition to the warrants, Asher was charged with driving under OVI suspension, drug possession, fleeing and eluding and failure to obey a traffic control device.

Filing of formal charges are expected from the prosecutor's office.
