EATON, Ohio (WDTN) - Preble County Sheriff's deputies shut down a suspected meth lab and made one arrest in a raid at a house west of Eaton Monday afternoon.
Deputies searched the home on Toney Lybrook Road after being tipped that methamphetamine was being cooked on the property.
Sheriff Michael Simpson said his investigators found propane tanks containing anhydrous ammonia, chemicals used to manufacture methamphetamine, and a small amount of marijuana. They also seized two firearms.
Melissa Wolf, 36, who lives in the home, was arrested and charged with illegal assembly of chemicals. Simpson said he expects additional charges to be filed after meeting with the prosecutor’s office. Wolf is being held in the Preble County Jail.
Deputies were assisted at the scene by agents with the Ohio Attorney General’s BCI & I, Gasper Township Fire & EMS and the Camden Fire Department.
