WEST ALEXANDRIA, Ohio (WDTN) - A freak accident sent a man to the hospital Monday afternoon onboard an emergency helicopter.
Careflight was called to the 2700 block of US Route 35 in West Alexandria around 3:00 pm.
Investigators say a worker for Longs Truck and Trailer Repair was using a blow torch to open a 55-gallon drum of solvent when it exploded.
He was burned on his arms, face and chest.
The man was flown to Miami Valley Hospital. We're told he was awake and talking to medics.
