NEW PARIS, Ohio (WDTN) - Preble County officials are searching for an Eaton man who went missing while hiking in New Paris on Saturday.
Authorities said 31-year-old Bobby Joe Grubbs disappeared after a friend dropped him off on Fleenor Road in New Paris.
Grubbs was supposed to contact a family member to be picked up, but he never did. Deputies conducted a preliminary search of a wooded area and farm fields Saturday evening, but didn't locate him. A search party was also organized Sunday to try and find Grubbs.
Deputies and members of the Buckeye Search and Rescue Dogs team returned to the area Monday, looking for the missing man.
According to officials, two 911 calls were made from Grubbs' cell phone.
If you have any information on Grubbs' disappearance call the Preble County Sheriff's Office at 937-456-6262.
