NEW PARIS, Ohio (WDTN) - A record number of concealed carry permits were issued in 2012.
A Preble County businessman couldn't be happier. In fact, he's offering a free lunch to anyone with a concealed carry permit to show him.
Tom Baumbach says free lunch at his barbecue joint, Baumbach's Pit Barbecue , is his way to support our second amendment rights.
"We need to remember our founding fathers and what they did for us," said Baumbach.
He's been in business seven years in New Paris. He also sees it as a chance to thank his loyal customers.
Baumbach expects about 1,000 people on Saturday.
"If we lose our rights, we're the last batch of hope for the world. If America goes the way of Europe and Australia, who's going to stand up to the less fortunate," said Baumbach.
Again, the free lunch is for anyone who holds a concealed carry permit in Ohio. You'll receive a beef brisket sandwich, fries and a drink.
