DAYTON, Ohio (DAYTON BUSINESS JOURNAL) - Dayton Business Journal: White Castle is eyeing an 83,000-square-foot food processing facility that would employ more than 100 workers in Vandalia.
The Columbus-based restaurant chain is on the Ohio Tax Credit Authority’s June 25 agenda for a project in Vandalia, which matches an unnamed company that has been considering a $22.5 million project in Vandalia's Stonequarry Crossings development.
In April, the city applied for a $300,000 Economic Development/Government Equity, or ED/GE, grant from Montgomery County toward the project, which is expected to be built in two phases over four years. Construction on the first phase is slated to begin this fall and be complete in the summer of 2013.
