WEST CARROLLTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Several West Carrollton streets impacted by the I-75 Exit 47 realignment will have new street names staring on June 25.

The changes were approved during the June 12 West Carrollton city council meeting.

In the new alignment, East Central Avenue, from Marina Drive to Springboro Pike, will be converted from one-way to two-way traffic and renamed East Dixie Drive.

“This will provide continuity between Dixie Drive located in Moraine and Kettering with Dixie Drive located between Cedar Street and Marina Drive in West Carrollton,” said Greg Gaines, West Carrollton planning director.

The current East Dixie Lane, a section of road which splits from East Dixie Drive near El Meson Restaurant, will provide the new alignment for the new East Dixie Drive.

The roadways known as Crossover Street, Exeter Road, and a section of the East Dixie Drive located under the I-75 overpass will be renamed Manchester Road.

A map depicting these changes is available in West Carrollton Civic Center and online at www.westcarrollton.org.

The changes were approved during the June 12 West Carrollton city council meeting.
