SWAT drug raid uncovers more than drugs

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - A SWAT team call-out turned into much more than a drug raid.  

2 NEWS was the only crew on the scene as detectives recovered potentially stolen items from the home.

Police charged Robert Maston Jr. with possession of drugs after one pound of marijuana, as well as cocaine was found inside a house in the 1300 block of Morris Ave. in Dayton.

Investigators carried out boxes full of stolen items and loaded them into the back of a truck.

The initial raid led the SWAT team to the discovery of dozens of boxes with shipping labels still attached.

Officials estimated it's likely thousands of dollars worth of stolen merchandise including clothes, coats, and other apparel.

The stolen items were handled by property crime detectives, who will be investigating where they were were stolen from.
