Rainfall turns into early morning snow

CENTERVILLE, Ohio (WDTN) - Overnight wind and rain quickly changed to snow as the temperatures dropped to around freezing early Tuesday morning.
We spotted a brief burst of heavy flurries in Centerville at SR 48 and Alex Bell Road. The snow quickly stopped, but the wind continued to come in gusts of around 40 mph.
The wind was to blame for putting two people in Trotwood out of their home overnight.
Trotwood fire officials told us the wind knocked power lines onto the house on Runyon Avenue just before 11:00 p.m. Monday.
The lines sparked a fire and flames took over the siding of the house.
Fire officials said the Red Cross is helping the two people with a place to stay. The house does not have electricity.
