JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) - Fire crews arrived at a home in the 5000 block of Retford Drive overnight, after a neighbor called 911 to report a fire.

When firefighters pulled up, smoke was billowing from the roof of the house.

Chief John Philson of the Jefferson Township Fire Department believed the fire started somewhere in the center of the home.

We talked to Jason Jones, who lives across the street, he said the fire may have started in the kitchen.

Workers came to board up the home's front windows.

Everyone made it out safely, though they were forced to stay elsewhere.
