DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Two people were seriously hurt after a car crashed into a pole in Dayton.

It happened around 12:15 a.m. at Nicholas road and Mcarthur Avenue.

Investigators said the driver was coming from a party when he lost control and smashed into the pole.

He and his passenger were both taken to Miami Valley Hospital with what officials are describing as serious injuries.

Officials also said that family members of the victims came to the scene and were so emotional they needed to be restrained.
