DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - There is a Winter Weather Advisory in effect for most of the Miami Valley until 6:00am Thursday.

Chief Meteorologist Brian Davis says to watch for slick roads as periods of freezing rain and sleet falls.

Here is Brian's Storm Team 2 forecast:

***WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY UNTIL 6 AM THURSDAY***

WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Slick roads in spots with periods or rain, freezing rain and sleet. Temperatures steady or slowly rising in the 30s.

THURSDAY: Flood Watch Butler, Warren and Clinton counties. Periods of rain mixed with AM freezing rain north. High near 40

FRIDAY: Partly sunny and chilly. High 42

DETAILS: Another low moving up from the Gulf of Mexico is spreading precipitation back into the area. A wintry mix will be likely for the overnight hours, but icing shouldn't be as bad as the last event. Salt will be more effective with temperatures near freezing. All precipitation will change to rain on Thursday.
