DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - If you like Broadway musicals with life-sized puppets, then the 2013-2014 season of the Victoria Theatre Association is for you.

The arts organization announced its new lineup Thursday evening.

The award-winning musical War Horse comes to the Schuster Center on October 22, 2013 for a week of performances.

War Horse is the story of a young man and his bond with his horse.  Life-sized puppets bring the horses to life.

Other shows on the new season's schedule include Sister Act, Memphis, Beauty and Beast and Million Dollar Quartet which brings the famed recording sessions of Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins to life.

Abba fans also have reason to rejoice come 2014.  The musical Mamma Mia comes to town Thanksgiving Day weekend 2014 from November 29 through December 1.

The Broadway Series is a popular genre for the Victoria Theatre Association.  It also announced shows in its Variety Series and Family Series.

For more information on those productions and the Broadway series, visit the Victoria Theatre Association web site.
