DAYTON (WDTN) - It's been a month since Douglass Kelly was shot and killed outside a Dayton bar.

The night of the shooting, Club 22 was packed, but investigators said they have had a difficult time finding cooperative witnesses.

"I never thought it would happen to us, but here we are sitting because my brother was murdered and now this whole mentality about not snitching and not coming forward, it's just huting us," said Douglass' sister Laquita Kelly.

Douglass, 30, was shot multiple times in the chest after an argument over a girl.

A few days after the shooting police arrested a suspect, Herbert Wiggins, on an unrelated warrant.  Wiggins is behind bars at the Montgomery County Jail but, has not charged him with Douglass' death.

Investigators said they are still working the case, gathering evidence and looking for witnesses.

Douglass' family is begging anyone who was there the night of the shooting, to do the right thing and come forward.

"I just want them to come and help us," added Kelly. "Police already have the man, all we need you to do is say,"yes, I saw this this happen in my presence," so that my brother can have some peace".

If you have any information that could help police close the case call Crime Stoppers at 222-7867.
