Vandals hit elderly woman's car twice

HARRISON TWP., Ohio (WDTN) - "I just felt like falling down and crying, just start balling. I just couldn't believe it," says Pauline Adkisson.

This was her reaction when she saw the damage to her car, after someone threw a cinder block through the back window.

It happened outside her home on Susannah Avenue in Harrison Township Tuesday morning around 5:30.

"I can't understand why they're doing this.  I don't get out.  I don't speak to my neighbors.  I stay in the house.  I take care of my own business and I don't bother nobody," explains Adkisson.

It's the second time in less than a month that this has happened to the elderly woman.

"Same thing happened two weeks ago, only they threw a brick, instead of the cinder block.," comments Adkisson.

After the last incident, Adkisson installed security cameras, hoping to catch the vandals if they struck again.

In the footage of the most recent crime, you can see five people walking on the right hand side of the screen, one stops, looks around, then picks up a cinder block, throws it through the back window of her car and runs away.

She is asking for your help finding those responsible.

"I want to see them caught and put in jail where they belong," says Adkisson.

Adkisson has serious health problems and she worries that if these vandals strike again, it will cost her much more than just the repairs to her car.

"I could have a heart attack anytime because my heart beats so fast.  I mean, it could cause me to die, something like this, the fright.  I am scared for my life," explains Adkisson.

If you have any information on this vandalism, call Crime Stoppers at 222-7867.
