US Marshals target wanted sex offender

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - The US Marshals are asking for your help in catching a wanted sex offender.

Robert Philbeck is a convicted sex offender wanted for failure to register in Montgomery County, Ohio.

Philbeck was believed to last be living on Fillmore Street in Dayton, but has since left that area. Marshals believe he could be now staying with a girlfriend in the Dayton area.

Philbeck's prior convictions include unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and four counts of failure to notify change of address.

Marshals caution not to approach Philbeck. Anyone with information asked to contact their local police department or the United States Marshals Service in Dayton at 937-225-2917.

The Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) has adopted this case for apprehension.
