DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Former civil rights leader Raleigh Trammell won’t be sentenced Wednesday as originally scheduled.

2 NEWS has learned attorneys for Trammell filed a motion seeking to have his conviction on all 51 counts of forgery, tampering with evidence and theft dismissed.

Until Judge Michael Tucker rules on the new motion, Trammell will remain free on bond.

Trammell was convicted earlier this month . The former leader of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference was accused of keeping $38,000 of tax-payer money, intended to fund a home-delivered meal program between 2005 and 2010.
