FRANKLIN, Ohio (WDTN) - The Franklin-Springboro Public Library announced it will be collecting toiletries for Franklin Area Community Services and Springboro Area Community Services. For each new unopened toiletry donated, the library will remove a dollar of fines from your library card up to $5 per card.

Donation suggestions include: unopened toiletries like soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste, lotion, tissues, baby wipes, disposable razors, toilet tissue, dental floss, baby powder, and paper towels to help the Franklin Area Community Services and the Springboro Community Assistance Center provide the basics to people throughout our communities.

The Clean Up Your Fines Drive will run through the end of 2012. Items can be donated at both library locations. For more information call us at 937-746-2665.

Terry Coyle, Executive Director of Franklin Area Community Services, said that “Franklin is seeing over 1200 families every month come through our doors for assistance. We are providing a safety net for the most human of basic needs.”
