DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - The trial for embattled one-time SCLC President, Raleigh Trammell, is underway in Montgomery County Court.
Opening statements and the first witness statements were heard Monday.
Trammell is accused of theft, forgery and tampering with records.
Investigators say he stole thousands of dollars of taxpayer money from programs meant to feed the elderly.
Three witnesses took the stand Monday. The trial is expected to last two weeks.
