TROTWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) - Trotwood police are searching for a man who they said tried to lure a teenage girl into his car Friday afternoon.

The 15-year-old was waiting for a ride outside the Trotwood Library when she was approached by a man in his car.

"The suspect demanded she get into his car," said Sgt. Fred Beck with Trotwood police.  "She refused and he left only to return two more times."

The girl said she saw him approaching for a third time, so she ran back into the library for help.

The suspect fled for good when the security guard came outside.

Police are looking for a tan 2002 Buick.  License plate FLA 8178.

The girl was not hurt and police are commending her for doing the right thing by running away and finding help.

If you spot a vehicle matching this description or have any information on this case, you are asked to contact your local police department immediately.
