DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Bailey Spitler has dreams of attending college.
Her heart lies in medicine, and since her Savings Race mentor school is Fortis College she decided to check out their Centerville Campus.
"I really liked Fortis because they let you go into college and you don't have to take the elected course like you do at Wright State or a local community college," Spitler said.
This ambitious Milton Union Senior has already taken several college prep classes and now has her goals clearly laid out.
"I want to get my RN and then transfer to Wright State to get my Bachelor's in nursing," she said.
Remarkably, in just four months, Team Bailey has revived their savings by over $10,000 and reduced their debt by $5,000.
Bailey said, "I think the biggest discipline is when we first got the goals and it was really hard to transition into it but now I look back and it's been a blessing."
As part of the Savings Race, teams must support a charity. So it's no surprise Bailey chose to help the March of Dimes.
"I want to go into the pediatrics as well as maybe the NICU as my nursing degree."
All steps to help Bailey prepare to realize her dreams.
Alex Lovett's family says it's a miracle he survived this deadly car crash.
