DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Dayton is the fourth manliest city in Ohio and ranks 18th nationally according to a survey from Combos Pretzels and research expert Bert Sperling.

The survey examines such “manly” factors such as number of professional sports teams, popularity of power tools, frequency of monster truck rallies and such key factors as number of home-improvement stores and motorcycle sales.

The survey also takes into account what it calls “Lady-like” features, such as the number of home furnishing stores, high minivan sales and subscription rates to beauty magazines.

Dayton came in behind Toledo (No. 8 nationally), Cleveland (No. 9 nationally) and Cincinnati (No. 12 nationally).

The gem city beat out metropolitan areas such as Milwaukee, Wisc.; Columbus, Ohio; Detroit, and San Diego which finished in last place.

You can find the whole ranking list here .
