RIVERSIDE, Ohio (WDTN) - Project Supercar: X-1 will make a special appearance for visitors at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force on July 5.
The X-1 is a fully customized Ford Mustang that focuses on power and speed with a central drive system and a real F-16 ejection seat. Designed by a team of seven highly specialized Airmen with a world-renowned team of car mechanics and customizers from Galpin Auto Sports, the Supercar showcases Air Force ingenuity, state-of-the-art technology, imagination and input from some of the world’s best mechanics.
This free experience also allows visitors to engage in a 38-foot trailer filled with interactive touch screens detailing how the cars were built and request unique content in the form of wallpapers, videos, ringtones or additional information about Air Force career opportunities.
The National Museum of the United States Air Force is located on Springfield Street, six miles northeast of downtown Dayton. It is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission and parking are free.
