Here in the Miami Valley, The Regional Planning Commission has issued an air pollution advisory for Wednesday, June 20.
The commission is predicting higher concentrations of ground-level ozone today, also known as smog.
You're asked to reduce your driving between 9 a-m and 6 p-m, also wait until after 6 to mow or to gas-up the car.
Many families are taking advantage of local water parks and beaches to beat the heat.
Health experts warn us, even around water you need to continue to drink fluids.
Heat stroke can happen with little warning.
Symptoms include headaches, dizziness, nausea, muscle cramps and weakness, rapid heart rates and shallow breathing.
You may also stop sweating.
The very young, senior citizens and athletes are most at risk, but some medical conditions and medications also make people more susceptible to heat.
So, just remember, heat stroke can affect *anyone*.
If you believe you or someone you know is suffering from heat stroke, call 9-1-1.
