MORAINE, Ohio (WDTN) - "It broke my heart. My heart breaks for each and everyone of them kids. Each one of those kids was innocent victims," says Stacy Williams.
She brought her 4 and 10-year-old nephews to Tuesday night's candlelight vigil at Payne Recreation Center in Moraine.
"I just want them to know what had happened so they know the tragedy that happened that day. It makes me not want to send them to school," explains Williams.
And while communities across the nation continue to come together to remember the victims, she says it's important not to forget the families they left behind.
"We just want them to know that our hearts are with them and we want them to know that we support them," comments Williams.
Another candlelight vigil will be taking place this Friday, on the one week anniversary of the school shooting massacre.
It will be from 6:30 to 8 PM in the parking lot of the Ramada Plaza Hotel on Wagner Ford Road in Dayton.
