DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Injuries and structural damage were reported as a line of violent storms pushed into the Dayton area Friday afternoon.
At least 16 people were injured at Wright Patterson Air Force Base near the Tattoo festival celebration area. The Tattoo event has also been canceled for Friday night.

Miami Township officials tell 2 NEWS the storm damaged part of the Dayton Mall . The mall has since been closed.
2 NEWS' Anthony Kiekow reports shoppers were evacuated from the mall. A gust of wind damaged a structural wall at the Dick's Sporting Goods store.
Additionally, the City Folk festival has also been canceled. It will resume Saturday at 1 p.m.
Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Gray told 2 NEWS his county has seen buildings with their roofs blown off, lots of trees and power lines are also on the ground.
One man was taken to the hospital after a tree fell on his truck near Piqua.
More than 90,000 customers were without power at the peak of the of the storms. Dayton Power & Light reports it could take days to completely restore power .
911 Service Down
The storm knocked out the 911 center in Shelby County. All emergency calls are being routed through the Sidney Police Department. If you live in Shelby County and have a non-emergency call for service, you are asked to call 937-498-2351.
Damage Reports
Downed power lines were reported in Celina while other parts of Mercer County saw wind gusts of 74 MPH.
Storm spotters in Greenville reported wind gusts estimated at speeds of 70-75 MPH knocked down large limbs.
The National Weather Service reported winds nearing 80 MPH near the Dayton International Airport.
Meanwhile, spotters in Shelby and Auglaize Counties have also reported damaging wind gusts.
The Wayne County, Indiana Emergency Management Agency reports numerous power lines are down across the county. Officials urged residents to treat any wires on the ground as live wires and do not touch them. Additionally, county officials were notified that at least two buildings had their roofs blown off in Richmond.
