DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - The votes are counted and our partners at Wright-Patt Credit Union are ready to give $10,000 to the winner of Savings Race 4, Home Edition.

After months of scrimping, saving and sacrificing, it comes down to the votes for the five Savings Race families.

Coaches for Team Rippl used video and a clever skit to make their final plea to financial experts looking at the individual team numbers and determining which family has made the most progress.

Tracy Fors of Wright Patt Credit Union says this year's focus on the home buyer was because of increased interest from their members.

"We also had some research that was indicating to us that if people actually took the time to have a little bit of education behind them when it came to buying a home that they would be better off long term in keeping that home, maintaining that home and having confidence through the home buying process so we decided we wanted to do the home edition," said Tracie Fors, Wright Patt Credit Union.

WDTN will reveal the winner Tuesday night on 2 NEWS 6. Live coverage begins on 2 NEWS.
