DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - The Greater Dayton RTA announced Monday it will again join Dayton's annual Grande Illumination and Children's Parade Spectacular in Lights celebration Friday, Nov. 23, from 4 to 9 p.m. downtown.

The Wright Stop Plaza reception area will serve as a fun-filled stop for families on the Junior League's children's Holiday Hunt from 4-7 p.m. The free scavenger hunt will begin at Courthouse Square where kids will pick up a map and instructions for the search. When holiday "hunters" come to Wright Stop Plaza to have their maps stamped, they will receive holiday-themed coloring books, toys and treats.

RTA also will again provide a hybrid bus for the Children's Parade Spectacular in Lights that begins right after the Grande Illumination tree lighting at 7:45 p.m.

Because central downtown streets will close throughout Friday leading up to and during the holiday events, RTA downtown buses will reroute and the Wright Stop Plaza Transit Center platform will close at 7 p.m. For further information, please visit i-riderta.org or phone the Customer Call Center at 937-425-8300.
