RIVERSIDE, Ohio (WDTN) - Many people don't have a choice when it comes to being outside despite the grueling temperatures.

2 News caught up with a roofing company, Dependable Construction and Remodeling, that was hard at work during the heat wave Thursday in Riverside.

"The black roofing surface makes it up to 20 degrees hotter on the roof than the actual temperature," said Brandon Hepperly who owns the company.

Hepperly said his crew takes frequent breaks and loads up on fluids to keep cool.

"We work in any temperature," said Hepperly.  "The only weather element that keeps us from doing our job is rain."
