DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Less than a week until the event, Dayton Revival concert promoter Matt Luongo says it's important to showcase the regions great musical talent.

"I think it is going to expose them to people who aren't familiar with their music and that's the beautiful thing about festivals where's there is a lot of different genre's," Luongo explained.

Among those acts is 'Needmore', one of a handful of local bands to be featured.

The talented trio just returned from LA where they're working on a new album which they're anxious to share with their hometown fans this weekend.

Luongo says the community's support has been amazing, particularly the three main stage sponsors Monster, Budweiser, and Caresource.

"Once we announced it to our employees at CareSource that we were going to sponsor a stage we had over 150 employees come out and [say] they would help volunteer," said Cathy Ponitz of CareSource. "This is a great time for us, it's a revival and it's truly part of the renaissance of this community."

It's that kind of response that Luongo says speaks volumes of people's commitment to downtown Dayton.
