DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - The first pitch in the Cincinnati Reds and San Francisco Giants playoff game takes place on Saturday, but the economic benefits of the playoffs are already being felt in Dayton.

2 News spoke with the Dayton Dragon officials on Friday at Fifth -Third Field , where many Reds players got their start.

Those with the Dragons said the Reds playoffs in October doesn't directly impact season ticket sales for next year, but it's still good for business.

"It's an intangible benefit. It keeps people thinking about baseball in a positive way. It reinforces that credibility if you come to a Dragons game you're going to see future Reds players, future major leaguers, said Tom Nichols who is a broadcaster for the Dragons.

Cardboard Heroes in Beavercreek said it already had to order more of those shirts after selling out of them soon after the Reds clinched the Central Division.
