CENTERVILLE, Ohio (WDTN) - The Superstorm didn't frighten ghosts and goblins as they went door-to-door for the annual Beggars' Night in Centerville.
Meanwhile in Moraine, many were scaring up some warmth as they handed out treats.
"Layers, gloves are good to have. Yea, the little kids deserve all the good times and memories like this, you know, so that's why I do it," explains Katrina Lachad.
No matter where they went begging, it seems everyone was outfitted for the elements.
"It's a little cold. I mean I can survive. I came prepared with a jacket and Under Armour," says Cameran Ryan.
"My mom made me wear a sweatshirt and Under Armour," comments Cade Ryan.
And many parents were thankful this night of fun wasn't postponed.
"How are you supposed to explain to a bunch of little kids who have been waiting for this night so long and tell them they have to wait an extra three days," explains Michael Gardner.
"I think it's fine. It's kind of got that kind of of grey, creepy feel to it," says Mike Ryan.
And the kids were happy too.
"I'm excited to walk up, go trick-or-treating and scare people," comments Colin Ryan.
"I'm going out with some friends. I mean we'll get candy obviously and just hang out and have fun," explains Derek Willits.
"I'm going to get a lot of candy and hang out with my friend," says Ethan Willits.
Of the 34 communities that planned to hold Beggars' Night Tuesday , 10 canceled but most rescheduled for Saturday.
